(i) A critical and comparative study of the following Ragas with special reference to Asawari , Kauns and Todi Ragangs : Asawari – Komal Rishabh Asavari Chandrakauns, Madhukauns , Bilaskhani Todi -Gurjari todi, Madhuvanti – Multani (ii) Detailed study of following Basic Ragas: Jaunpuri , Malkauns ,Miyan Ki Todi (iii) Ability to compose and make notation of a given piece of poetry in a raga prescribed in the syllabus. Ability to compose and make notation of a gat in the Tala (other than Teentala suggested by the examiner. | 4 | (i) Folk music of Haryana styles of singing, Dancing and Instruments. (ii) The popular folk tunes of different states e.g. Baul, Bhatiyali, Lawani and Bihu. Note- Knowledge of Ragas, Talas of previous course is essential . |
