1 1. To measure the (a) area of a window (b) height of an inaccessible object using a sextant.
2 2. To determine Refractive index of the material of a prism using sodium source.
3 3. To determine the dispersive power and Cauchy constants of the material of a prism using Mercury discharge source.
4 4. To draw a graph between wave length and minimum deviation for various lines from a Mercury discharge source.
5 5. Determination of wave length of sodium light and the number of lines per centimetre using a diffraction grating.
6 6. Determination of wave length of sodium light using Newton’s Rings.
7 7. Resolving power of a telescope.
