2 | Epidemiologic concepts of diseases, Factors which determine the occurrence of diseases, models of transmission of infection, incubation period, disease spectrum and herd immunity. Observational studies in Epidemiology: Retrospective and prospective studies. Measures of association :Relative risk, odds ratio, attributable risk. | |
3 | Statistic techniques used in analysis: Cornfield and Garts’ method, Mantel.Haenszel method. Analysis of data from matched samples, logistic regression approach. Experimental Epidemiology: clinical and community trials. Statistical Techniques: Methods for comparison of the two treatments.
