2 | Basic concepts of remote sensing and its types, resolutions, scanning technologies, optical and microwave remote sensing; ground truth surveys; georeferencing. Visual image interpretation; digital image processing, supervised and unsupervised classification. Basic concepts of aerial photography and photogrammetry. |

3 | Components and indexing of topographic sheets; Basic concept GIS; vector and raster data; GIS spatial and analytical modeling, attribute data management, processes and steps in GIS; GIS project management, architecture design, implementation strategy and, evaluation. Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and its application. |
