Chairperson Speaks:Having rich scholarly traditions, the Department of Sanskrit, Pali & Prakrit aims to produce self-dependent and research oriented students who  can contribute towards the society and nation through their vision. They are able to impart knowledge of our religion, culture, philosophy and science as well as Sanskrit language which is known as mother of all modern languages. In order to develop skills among the students, the Department organizes various seminars, workshops and extension lectures all throughout the year. Celebration of Sanskrit Week on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan (Sanskrit Diwas) is a key feature of the Department during which many competitions are organized. The Department actively participate in Gita International Seminar organized by Kurukshetra University at the time of Gita Jayanti. Apart from this the Department takes special care to design best curriculum making necessary changes from time to time. Recently a new paper ‘Dharmatantragama’ was introduced seeing the rising importance of Dharma & Tantra all over the world.
