About Us

The Law Department was established in 1969 as the first Law Department in the State of Haryana to impart legal education and to conduct original and fundamental research in the contemporary areas of law and allied subjects.  Since its inception, very renowned, eminent and outstanding scholars have headed the Department.

As a part of practical training and to provide due exposure to students and teachers, Eminent Jurists, Senior Advocates and Eminent Professors from other Universities are invited to deliver extension lectures, conduct seminars and discussions. These programmes not only make law teaching more meaningful but practical aspects of law practices and procedures are also taken care of as an inbuilt component of legal training.
