Department provides a salubrious and harmonious environment to the students and scholars who pursue their higher learning in business studies. Academic infrastructure of the Department comprising of teaching rooms, library, computer lab, seminar hall, provides a conducive and serene environment.

Department has always been proactive in offering and upgrading the academic and research programmes to meet the emerging needs of the industry and profession.  The academic and research programmes focus on 3Es – Employment, Entrepreneurship and Ethics and the course curricula is especially designed to achieve them. Inputs are taken from the industry, alumni and the academia while designing the course curricula, which has been framed as per LOCF-CBCS framework.

In line with spirit of NEP-2020, Department has redesigned the scheme of examination and course curricula to provide an enriched learning to the students. In line with the requirements of the industry, the practical component is being added into the syllabus and the students are being trained with the skills to improve their employability. Special focus is being laid on entrepreneurship and the students are showing interest in developing startups and having their own business venture.

Another major effort is being made to develop an ecosystem for excellence in research. Research scholars are being encouraged to work on the research problems which are relevant for the society and address to practical issues. In order to hone up the research skills, workshops and other events are being organized wherein latest developments in the field of research are being imparted to the scholars. The results of developing such an ecosystem are beginning to show with more publication output in quality journals.

We look forward to developing a class of professionally competent citizens of the society, committed to ethics and uphold the philosophy of “Yogastha Kuru Kurmani”.
