Department of Biotechnology started functioning in the year 1995.  It is aimed at high academic standards in teaching and research. The department has basic infrastructure to nourish M.Sc. students and for pursuing research in diverse fields of biotechnology like microbial, plants and animal biotechnology with in-house facilities or with the help of collaborating institutes having specialized facilities.  Teaching faculty includes Three Professor, Two Associate Professor, and Two Assistant Professors.
