Brief Profile:
Research indeed is the key driver for National development as well as for the well-being of the society. Going by the call of ‘Jai Anusandhan’ by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, Kurukshetra University strives to support National growth driven by research emphasizing the greater relevance of the social and local dimensions of innovation. As a seeker of continued academic excellence, Research has always been the centre of attention at Kurukshetra University. To give persistent stimulus to research and researchers, the position of Dean Research & Development (DRD) was created in 2006. However, a standalone regular office of the DRD was established in the year 2021. Today, the office of DRD is the central office for providing all out support to researchers covering diverse activities like applying for as well as running sponsored research projects, filing patents, recognizing faculty efforts by way of Best Researcher Awards, National Scientist and Postdoc schemes, etc.

Brief Profile:
Dr. Ramesh Kumar Mehta is an Alumnus of Kurukshetra University. Having rich and diverse experience of working at DRDO and IIT Delhi in close association with Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, coupled with his envious status in the field of generating as well as protecting new knowledge with clients spread over 65 countries, his humility allowed him to take the liberty of extending a generous, timely and technical help to University faculty by accepting to work with the University as Honorary Professor, IPR and Technology Transfer since March 2022 in safeguarding their intellectual property rights by filing patents.
